How to use SheetPilot.

Choose a mode, describe the worksheet clearly, and review the generated result before using it in important files.

Generate

Describe the result you need, the relevant columns, and any conditions. Example: “Sum sales in D when city in B is New York.”

Explain

Paste a formula and ask for a plain-English explanation. SheetPilot breaks down the functions, conditions, ranges, and likely output.

Fix

Paste a broken formula or describe the error. Include what the formula should do so the correction matches your intent.

Tips for better results

  • Include exact column names or cell ranges.
  • Say whether you use Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Describe expected behavior for blanks and errors.
  • Test formulas on a copy of your worksheet first.
